Blending my hair extensions with my short hair can be quite challenging, but I'll share my technique with you.
I used Helene Hair Classic clip-in hair extensions 20 inches long and 220g.
If you have hair like mine and you're considering extensions, I recommend avoiding lengths over 20 inches. Longer extensions make blending harder, and the difference between short and long hair becomes more noticeable, especially with straight hair.
I start by parting my hair just above my ears. It doesn't need to be perfect; sometimes I braid the underside to prevent short ends from peeking out, securing it with a small ponytail to keep everything in place. I clipped the hair on the back of my head, starting at the nape of my neck, Tease the roots of the hair.
I begin applying the extensions with a three-clip weft, starting in the middle and then the corners. I twist a section of my hair and clip the extension into the twist for a secure hold.
After parting again, I gather all the short strands and repeat the process on each side. I twist a section, secure it with a clip, and ensure the extensions blend seamlessly into the back of my hair.
To ensure a natural look, I avoid leaving any short strands visible at the front or sides. I focus on the area just above my eyebrows, twisting and securing the extensions to blend with my hair's natural fall.
Finally, we use a straightener to straighten my hair and the extensions so that they blend better. You can make a curve.
